It's February and as many of us know, this is the month designated as Black History Month.
Naturally, I along with several others throughout the nation and world
understand the importance of honoring our culture and heritage
throughout the year, however we can certainly appreciate the vision held
by Carter G. Woodson when he started what was initially called "National Negro Week" back in 1926.
People from everywhere celebrate this month in various ways, and one way in which The New Handmade Collective is celebrating is by doing what we do best: showcasing our many talents! (Well, perhaps what we do second best...after creating, of course ;-)
If you're on Pinterest, please check out our Black History Month Pop Up Shop and
help spread the word about the fantastic work that I and so many other
artisans contribute. It's as simple as re-pinning what you see and
like!

We'll be at it for the entire month of February and beyond. Be sure to join in on the action and help an artist out! Many of us are offering special promotions, such as the 10% you can save on your total purchase in my Etsy shop. Just enter code LOVE8 at checkout.
We hope you do join us!
