In the Spirit

There's definitely something in the air. I'm feeling and seeing change all arBoldound me all the time. Online. Off line. The energy is shifting, and I'm knowing it's for the best!

One indication of the change that's going on in my world, is the massive CLEARANCE!! that's happening in my etsy shop. I'd marked most of everything in there down to half off, and this past week I marked several of those pieces down to $10 or $20. Ten or twenty dollars for some of the cutest, one-of-a-kind, quality hand made garments!!! :-)

Note: that burgundy skirt--bottom left--has sold.

I'm on a serious mission to clear my space--and in effect, my mind--so that I can concentrate on new ideas. Lately, in my efforts to clear out on various levels, I'm reminding myself more and more of my family in that the decluttering comes by any means deemed to fit the situation.

I come from a mother and grandmother who, when cleaning the house, would/will get so much in the zone that even relevant, necessary, wanted items become prone to being trashed. My grandmother would--while cleaning--sweep everything and anything that was on the floor into one pile. And I do mean everything: shoes, toys, jackets, dishes, etc. along with any dirt/trash. The pile was comprised of items from bedrooms, living room, bathroom, and kitchen. She'd sweep everything into the kitchen.

(That's another thing. I come from a family of sweepers. Even when vacuum cleaners were available for carpet, we've always preferred to sweep. I'm like that to this day.)

We--the 3-4 grandchildren who were visiting that day who'd left our possessions in the floor prior to sprinting outside to play--had about 5 minutes to come claim our stuff. If we didn't, to the trash it went. My grandmother made no apologies about it either! She felt that if we'd wanted it then it wouldn't have been in the floor in the first place.

Of course, I'm not trashing my beloved pieces. Instead, I'm pricing them much lower than usual so that they're likely to be undeniably enticing to those who'd welcome them into their spaces while freeing up room in mine! :-)

peace!

Yes! Isn't the energy palpable?! I don't feel any remorse for the purging at all. I've been asked about time, money, energy put forth and my response is simply , "It's already been spent, and so have I". Moving on feels really good-I hope your declutter leaves you feeling renewed and restored. (And, the flurry of revenue is NICE)
