So, really, really soon I'm going to be moving away to a new location, and I am very happy about this. :)
Because of this impending move, I'm in overdrive mode trying to get much of my inventory out of my space, in the mail, and into the hands of someone who'll appreciate them as much as I do. I'm planning to travel veeeerrrry lightly, and hauling around tons of garments does not equate to light for me.
In fact, the way I'm envisioning things in this present moment, I won't even be taking my sewing machine. So I'm going to probably be on a sewing hiatus for a little while. Maybe just a little while. :)
My initial thought was to totally rid myself of every single garment that I have on hand (by whatever means necessary) and completely shut down my Etsy shop for a while since I won't physically be near my inventory; however I've since come up with a new strategy that'll allow me to keep it open and still offer the pieces over the internet
Yesterday I took some time to rephotograph a few garments which are currently on sale/clearance in my Etsy shop.
There's a great mix of garments in the sale section that are suitable for cool or warm weather.
In addition to having several garments that I'm seeking to part with before leaving, I've also got lots of fabric pieces that won't be going with me. What's interesting is that I'm more anxious about getting rid of my fabric (or leaving it behind) than I am about leaving all of my handmade garments behind. But in time I'm sure I'll be right back in the groove and building up my materials once again.
For now, be sure to check out the deals on Etsy,
buy something, and if you'd like to save an additional 10% on your purchase, enter SAVE10 at checkout.
On another note, I've got maxi dresses on my mind!
Have a great weekend!
