Skiiiiiiiiiiiiirt!!!
Those of you following me on Facebook already know how thrilled I am about this.
This was made for my friend Janine. It was her idea. I just brought it to life. My first time making tiered skirts (I made her a brown as well), and I'm very pleased with the outcome.
*siiigh* love. It makes me wanna twirl and dance around and around!

Every now and then a song'll come along and just hit me like....BAM!!!
This one by Fantasia is one of those. I love it. Something about the beat and the way the song flows that moves me everytime. O.k. I know it's not new, but thankfully they don't wear out on the radio here, so each time I hear it on there it's like a treat.

Yes, the tiered skirt is the freedom. I got one from a reggae festival one year and it is my absolute favorite thing to wear. Nothing has to be tucked, held down and I can sit however I want.
and you know, "you must be my sooooooul sista" because we love the same music.
Beautiful skirt and the color is so rich. I love all the folds and gathering in it.
I think it is harder to do custom work as you have to be able to see what the client is seeing. You pulled this off well.
I adore that skirt! And I have the same reaction as soon as I hear the music for that Fantasia song!
