By Now

Will definitely have to make some of these for myself.

large

Purple/black denim with a lil bit of stretch.

School's over for me, and I'm so thrilled! I feel pretty confident that I'll get a's in both classes. Man. Linguistics is no joke, but I really enjoyed the class. At times I had to stop and be like, "Wait, wait, wait...lemme just...wrap my mind around this. Let it marinate for a bit." Really had to internalize a lot of it. Very involved stuff.

***************

I never did show y'all the outcome of that dresser I was gonna decoupage.

Still haven't done the top.

And yeah, the beads do get in the way when I open and close the drawers, but I like them there. Plus I needed to do something with my abundance of Mardi Gras beads.

Stuck in my head.
(I sure know the feeling...)

T.O.N.Y. - Solange
(lyrics)

(And I just had a realization. This song and video remind me very much of Amy Winehouse's "Tears Dry On Their Own", a song that I've always liked. Something with me and these types of songs...)

See, when I first heard and wrote about "I Decided" by Solange I knew that I'd have to get the album. I still haven't, but I will soon. Cause I'm 3 for 3 on the songs I've heard through the grapevine by her. The one above along with

"Sandcastle Disco"

"I Decided"

So, I can only imagine that her album will work for me. I like what she's got going on.

Have a great day!
peace!

Congrats on the rapidly approaching good outcome of your classes. My last day of classes is Monday... a final paper, a 3 page write up and an extra credit poetry recital and I'm done!! WhoooHoooo...

I love those songs by Solange too and I haven't gotten her album either, like you, I really wouldn't mind having it on my iPod these days.

That dress rocks! And did you write 'large' underneath? Hmmm... methinks that's not quite right ;-).

That's a wicked song you uploaded today and yes, that Amy rocks the house. Many thanks. So, you did Amy. Personally the first album was awesome and although I like her sophomore effort, cannot stop thinking of that debut.

Greetings from London.

I was out in the garden earlier, planting onions to be exact, and you just popped into my head so I came in to see how you're doing :)

Love the skirt ! Skirts are such versatile, easy things to wear. And denim makes them more so.

I have no doubt you'll get A's :) :) What do you plan to do with linguistics ?

Congratulation on your exams :)!!!
That skirt is very lovely...I'd combine it with some tight white shirt and worn very easy...

Kiss,kiss...

Also, I am dropping by to present you with an award. Details are at my post. No problem if you prefer to skip posting 10 points about yourself. The award is still yours. Find out why I love your blog at:

@ brooklynsoul-i forgot to say that i did hear the entire album when i was recently in atl and liked it. that was just a primary listen through, though, and i need to get my own copy quickly! thanks for the link.

@ cuban-it is a large! :-D (strategic pinning allows me to make it fit me for the picture, though ;-)

yeah, despite all the hooplah, i do like amy's music. i've only heard a few songs from the first album, but i do need to add that one to my collection.

@ juli-actually, you pop into my head a lot when i'm just out doing various things! as far as linguistics, i'm not too sure exactly what i'll do with it. i'm nearly done with a 2nd degree in english with no real plans for it. i just enjoy acquiring the knowledge in that area.

@ juana--thanks so much!

thanks all for the lovely comments. :-)
