Anticipation

I see now that at this point I'm averaging a post a week. Where has my blogging spirit gone??? Y'all know I still love ya, though, so here are some pics and a song. I'll be back to my regular posting soon.

My guy friend's trumpet playing brother doing his thing a couple years ago at a local venue. It was him and his wife who we stayed with in Dallas this past September while fleeing a hurricane. (They're in town now, and we all had the most entertaining time yesterday.)

Morning by Amel Larrieux
Something I'm sure a lot of kids have been waiting for on this day :-)

Me having a discussion this past fall on a subject I can't readily recall with historian and medical doctor Fred Jones at a locally owned bookstore/hot spot for discussions on society, culture, history, politics, etc. I sometimes fill in at the shop for the owner (an associate of mine) and one of the employees. I've worked 5 days over there this past week and will be back Friday.

Apple crumble pie...something I'm gonna be making later. mmmmm...

...That's after I finish altering a skirt for someone who needs it to wear today!

Wishing everyone lots of love, joy, food, and fun with family on this day and everyday! :-D

Be well.

peace

I really like the pic of you listening intently to Dr. Jones-aah the wealth of wisdom...

Peace.

Altho I love to read what you write, you have a gift for wisdom of word among other things, the best joy is to know that you're happy and healthy. Whether you write about it or not :)

Excellent work as always on the skirt. I would love to hear that trumpet someday. I hope the recipe is in the link for the crumble and most of all .... I wish you every great thing for the coming new year !

Loved the Amel Larrieux. I've featured her on my blog quite often. She has such a distinctive voice.

The knees-up at your local bookshop seems like one of those events I would love to organise where I live... if I had the time.

Quick question. Is it the same skirt modelled five times? If no, then, I will keep the one in the right hand bottom side corner. Eleggua is one of my favourite characters from Afro-Cuban culture and I have performed it many times. His colours are red and black.

Happy New Year!

Greetings from London.
