This is only the 3rd post this month. I'm not sure what the it is. Might have been the school stuff, but it must have been the snow. Oh, but I hadn't told y'all that we had snoooow! It happened the same day of my last post, and it was probably going on--unbeknown to me--as I sat here typing at 2 a.m. that morning. I thoroughly enjoyed it despite the fact that it only lasted through the afternoon. By late afternoon you'd have never known it snowed. Ah well. I take what I can get. Snow makes me happy. Ironically, cold weather doesn't. And neither does snow like folks on the east coast are getting or were getting. :-/ *Has flashbacks to treading through what must have been knee high snow to get to school during my kindergarten days in Detroit. Cold to the bone.*
But to get down to business, I've got some new dresses. Finally. Seems I'm headed back into my earth tones after months of colorfulness.
Very busy print that somehow ended up in my stash. It woulda been great for some pillow cases or some other home interior use, but y'all know clothing is my thing. The key here was using that contrasting strip you see at the hem and going down the middle of the top and skirt to break it up some. It took some splicing and piecing together of the fabric, but I think it turned out pretty neat.
This was supposed to have cap sleeves but I forgot to put 'em in. :-/
This one's now in my etsy shop.
I really, really like this one. :-) Plus, it makes use the massive amount of lace in my stash. It's interesting. I don't recall ever purchasing lace, but I bet there's enough in there to make a wedding gown or something.

I've got plenty more ideas floating around up top. Just gotta find the right materials so they can be expressed.
Have a luminoius day!
peace

I feel you about the lack of posting. I've been making myself get dressed so I'll have something to post...even though I really, really want to lounge in sweatpants all day, everyday.
I lurve the prints on that first dress and the details on the 2nd. ♥
I really like all of your dresses but the first one is my favorite. It reminds me of summer.
Oooooooh, I love how you implemented the lace in the last dress. Lace only works when it's used in pieces for detail purposes. Now a full-length LACE wedding gown? Hopefully only if it was a custom order you had to do, lol. Talking about some serious itching for days....Stay Fly}{

Love the print dress!
I really like the striped bits added to that first dress. Excellent.
And the second dress...the long part on the sides is so cool.
Lace, lace....I just took a bunch to Goodwill. *slaps forehead* Next time, I'll think of you first.
Beautiful as always. I think I'm in love with the first dress. That pattern is wonderful (love the contrast down the center and at the hem) and anything with an empire waist gets my vote every time, lol.
I really like the color of the first dress. And with your marvelous talent, the pattern does not look busy and works perfectly.
The last dress with the lace is really cute too. I could see wearing the lace one to a formal function.
No snow here yet:)
Wow...snow! We haven't had snow yet...but, tomorrow may be the day...I like the earth colored dress...
I'm not sure which I like best. The patterned dress or the lace side panel one...
About the hoodie. Girl I wouldn't want you to change a THING! The length is perfect for how I like to wear it.
The snow here is really pretty. I'm much like you. I don't mind the snow much, but I no likey the COLD. And it gets mad cold in MN. We just got back into positive digits since the weekend :|
Can't see the first one for whatever reason?? but the other two are really pretty!
ooh, i LOVE the first dress!
soooo pretty! the print, the shape, everything!
and it snowed here too, but i despise snow with a passion...
it does not make me happy...
:(
i cant wait for summer... so i can wear dresses like yours!
I loved the first one! Even though green and I can't get on at all.
December, it's a slow month, isn't it? Or it is a month that slows things down, whichever way.
Greetings from London.
Snow in Lancaster! It's harder to believe that than the fact that we had it here in Houston. Actually my sister, back home in the good old San Fernando Valley told me about it a few days ago. I guess 'tis the season! Good thing we only get in small doses.
honey these are lovely! my faves are one and two.i love the look of snow but from inside as its so cold!cant wait to see what you come up with for the lace.
