Newness.
(Heart next to "L" and drawstring at center)
So I've made the decision to go ahead and combine my sewfly shop with my fly tie shop on etsy. Yeah, the shop's been empty for months, but I was preparing to add new artistic items to it when it hit me that I no longer feel the need to separate my 2 styles of clothing. So now garments that are painted or that utilize patches like the one above will be mixed in with all the other garments. I've already added one of the art tops to the shop, and it seems to fit in just fine. :-)

Today I was given a lovely award by my blog friend Juana of Gallery Juana.
I always enjoy visiting her blog and am grateful for her visits to mine as well. :-)
Now,to list 10 honest things about myself...
1. I'm seriously infatuated with a certain somebody...
2. When I get books and dvds from the library, I renew them over and over via the internet even if I'm done with them to prevent having to take them back before I absolutely have to go that way. (No worries. If someone's waiting on it, they let me know, then that's a motivator for me to go over there.)
3. More often than not I live on the edge where finances are concerned. I'm pretty used to it and find it exciting at times and stressful at others.
4. I'm contemplating a move to another state in the next couple of months.
5. I recently had a conversation with a friend about finding someone with whom I can engage in a summer fling. (But knowing myself it wouldn't work, cause I'd get way too passionate and attached if it were someone I was really into. And it couldn't be with someone I wasn't into, so...)
6. I often have something random (or not so random) to say, and do so via posts on MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/flytie
7. I still am not always clear on the correct use of who/whom and lay/lie and look them up whenever I need to use them. (However, I just took a guess at the use of "whom" in number 5.) Most things stick with me, but for some reason I can't internalize these.
8. Most of the time I just want to be cuddled up in my bed. (And it'd be nice if it could be with the certain somebody from number 1...at least some of the times.)
9. If it were economically feasible, I'd go to Jason's Deli everyday and eat off of their wonderful salad bar.
10. My father's birthday is either May 15 or May 16, I'm not 100% sure which. Despite inquiring about it numerous times, I can never keep it straight. Kinda like that who/whom, lay/lie thing. But either tomorrow or Saturday he should receive the card I sent. And I'll call Saturday, cause I've got a strong feeling that that's when it is.

Last night I was sitting here thinking about this song, "U and I" that I really love by Emily King and wondering what's going on with her. When I first heard it in early '08 it was an instant fave. Then shortly afterwards I came across this abbreviated acoustic version on youtube and listened to it repeatedly. Chiiillls. What a great wedding song. Or just together song.

Congrats on your award! Yay for combined shops. I love those pieces from your other line and I am happy that you will be creating more cuties for us to salivate over.
Loved all 10 things you shared with us =). I'd much rather be cuddled up in my bed the majority of the time too.
That artwork is fabulous and are you growing taller or are your skirts getting shorter ;-)? That was a good design, by the way. Welcome to the world of Fathers' Birthdays. I know mine's on the 22nd of July because he reminded me when I was in Cuba... in February just gone :-)!
Congrats on your award. Your blog is amazing. It's got a nice combo of music, fashion, art and chat. That person at number one is a lucky person.
Greetings from London.
Hehehe on daddy's b-day. I love the dress with the words. I love that style. You used whom correctly in #5.
I'm with ya on the lay/lie thing. I can never figure it out. I remember talking to my English teacher about it and she said, just remember Let sleeping dogs lie. Umm...yeah. Sure. That helps.
