Just finished up a custom dress for someone...
which was based off of an original design of mine created as part of a small collection a couple yrs. ago:
(and that's now with its happy owner somewhere between Paris and Switzerland :-D )
Many times others have the ideas. I just bring 'em to life.

In all my recent fogginess and attempts to pull myself together over here, I've neglected to acknowledge some recent (and not so recent :-/) blog awards that were passed on to me from 4 wonderful people.
First there was the proximity award given by Needles, Fabric and Thread.
Then there was the sisterhood award from my fellow seamstress SewUpTight.
Next, my blogger friend Jasmina all the way in Slovenia (didn't know I could rhyme, did ya??) gave me this lovely award:
And finally, non other than the talented and inspirational Brooke over at Jewelry RockStar gave me the inspiring blogger award:
Thank you all so very much. I appreciate you collectively and individualy for so many reasons. :-)

It's storming, and I've never been too fond of lightning. So, before I run off to hide under the covers, here's the gift of music: Herbie Hancock and Norah Jones with a Joni Mitchell rendition.
peace!!

Congrats on the awards!
Love all the versions of that dress, especially the brown one.
Congrats! I am sure that the new owner of that piece is gonna be very happy.
I loved the sequence, taking us back to the beginning! And you deserved those awards, too!
SO, you dig Herbie, uh? He's a chamaleon, even if not everyone appreciates it.
Greetings from London.
Gorgeous dresses. All of them. You are so very talented girl. I would love to see you Project Runway.
Hi Fly Tie :),
it's been raining here the whole day.Sometimes rain is just what one needs to relax and think.Even if under the blankets hiding from the lightning ;).
That's nice,to hear that your dress is now in Europe. You must be so proud. And,it's a beautiful dress.I like most the first one - the military green/gray one. It's definitly something I'd wear.
You really look very nice :)!
